Hi there!
As a therapist at Kinship Holistic Therapy, I see people who feel disconnected – from themselves, each other, and their world, become awake to life.
I view people holistically, influenced by my experience working with couples and individuals from many different phases and walks of life. I am an attachment-focused, emotionally centered, and trauma-informed therapist who puts into clinical practice the belief that our most profound healing comes through connection – with ourselves, our world, and others.
With respect, warmth, and curiosity, I want to walk you through pain toward hope and resilience. In our work together, we will honor every part of what makes you ‘you’ so you can live more fully and authentically.
As is life, the therapeutic process is both beautiful and painful. I will hold the tension with you as you laugh at the oddity of life, grieve for what wasn’t, and delight in how far you’ve come.
Biography
Originally from Atlanta, I attended the University of Georgia, where I earned two bachelor degrees, in Communication Studies and Religion. I received my MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University and gained clinical experience working at a substance abuse treatment center in Atlanta and in a private practice setting, where I worked with a myriad of teens, couples, and individuals.
I am a Nationally Certified Counselor with training in Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples and individuals. Additionally, I pursued training in trauma, focusing on working with both the body and mind. I am also Prepare-Enrich certified for premarital counseling.
I love spending time with my husband and friends outside and at the beach. You’ll find me surfing or buried in a good book. I am a sucker for stories of characters who persevere through pain and difficulty, which most likely keeps me surfing! My husband and I treasure spending time with friends, playing sports, and taking our dog to the park.
