Individual Therapy

Maybe it’s time for some YOU time!

“I have to be strong for everyone else.”

“I feel empty, disconnected from myself, my emotions, and my needs.”

“I’m stuck in patterns of insecurity and people-pleasing, leaving me resenting my relationships and with no boundaries.”

Experiencing some profound change would help.

Loneliness drives your days, and you worry about being rejected, shamed, and further misunderstood if you share what is happening with your friends. Advice and well-meaning comments just are not helping.

The feelings you are having are overwhelming and confusing.

There is nothing weak or wrong with asking for help.

Providing help is the reason why we are here.

All your feelings can be listened to and learned from in this space.

First and foremost, we want you to have a place where you can come and be YOU – no pretending or pretense and no need for makeup or cute clothes here.

People seek therapy for all sorts of reasons: relationship issues, anxiety and depression, trauma recovery, transitions, and loss.

Whatever might bring you to us, all of you, every part, is welcome here.

So what’s going to happen?

First, we want to hear your story and learn what makes you who you are.

Your therapist will have a kind, compassionate, and nonjudgmental stance toward your story.

We will look at things in your life – where you came from (family history/origin/your story), and what’s happening in your life right now that is bringing you in.

The healing story is multifaceted – like the natural world which goes through seasons where things grow, change, lay dormant, and die. I’m curious about this in the therapy room. Why is now the time? What is happening in your life right now? Is this the time you are ready to heal?

We will cater your experience in therapy to your specific and unique needs and desire for change. We are not robots here who nod and say, “Hmm.” We will engage fully and authentically with you. Sometimes, there might be specific things we are “working on” (meaning talking about, exploring, processing), and other times, we will “work” on whatever you bring in that day.

Everything makes sense eventually.

All we need to do is to make sense of it.

We can’t wait to get to know you and start making sense of how you feel.
