MA, LPC-A, NCC
There is no greater honor than walking with another person through their own story. Shannon is motivated by the power of story work, through her own personal healing, and in working with others.
Our lives are a journey of discovering who we were created to be, that there is goodness for each of us, and we are worthy of having hope and freedom. Believing that we were created for more and by engaging in our past, we can live more freely in the present. Shannon enjoys working with women, men, relationships and marriage, trauma, and story work. Her integrative approach is kind, empathic, and insightful.
“If we want to create a different future, we must have the courage to look at the past.” – Dan Allender
Shannon was born and raised in south Florida. She attended Hollins University in Virginia, where she received her Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology. She then earned her Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology and Counselor Education at the University of Colorado at Denver. She has received her level II certificate in Narrative Focused Trauma Care through the Allender Center in Seattle, Washington. She is also a Nationally Certified Counselor.
She loves the beach, spending time outside, traveling, and spending time with her husband and their three children and sweet golden retriever.
Who She Sees:
Exploring our stories in a safe, therapeutic relationship helps to shine light into the places where we need healing so that we can have full restoration. Our stories deserve to be shared and honored, to have others speak truth into them. Working together to explore your story provides opportunities for healing and connection. Looking at both the beauty and the brokenness, where we feel stuck and where our core glory has been marred.
At Kinship Holistic Psychotherapy, we foster a safe relationship in which you can experience emotions, heal from past experiences, and embrace all parts of your story. Book online.
