Shannon Loftin, MA, LPCA

Hello and welcome.

I genuinely enjoy being a therapist and believe there can be healing and freedom because I have experienced it. Life has taught me a lot (raising three children has also taught me a lot!) about grace and compassion.

You do not have to stay in the place you are stuck! I hope you find a therapeutic relationship with me that helps you feel seen and known for who you are. My personality is genuine and authentic, and I see therapy as an opportunity to come alongside you in your journey toward healing. We will approach things together.

The type of therapy I specialize in is trauma-informed, which means I work with clients who have a range of trauma from what might feel small to what feels like too much to process. As a trauma therapist, I understand how important it is to create a setting where a client feels safe and validated. I will prioritize that safety from the first moment in our session to our last.

Biography

I was born and raised in South Florida. I attended Hollins University in Virginia, where I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. I then earned a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology and Counselor Education at the University of Colorado at Denver. I received my level II certificate in Narrative Focused Trauma Care through the Allender Center in Seattle, Washington. I am also a Nationally Certified Counselor.

I love the beach, being outside in nature, traveling, and spending time with my husband, our three children, and our sweet golden retriever, Blue. Yoga is my go-to self-care practice!
