Ellis Pitts, LPCA

Hi there!

I approach counseling from a holistic perspective, recognizing that the best change often involves investigating the “why?” behind our thoughts and emotions. I love to look at the client as a whole, exploring the full picture of their lives, including their psychology, socialization, spirituality, relationships, and environment, and how these parts interact with one another. My work draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), attachment focused, and trauma informed perspectives.

My path into counseling grew out of my own healing journey. I  understand how powerful it can be to have a space where we are deeply seen, understood, and supported. Over time, I have come to believe that a holistic approach often leads to the most sustainable and meaningful healing. I especially enjoy helping people explore questions of identity, purpose, and the kind of life they want to build moving forward. I love working with teens, young adults, and adults, and I value creating a space where people at many different stages of life can feel supported with me. I work with a wide range of presenting concerns and would love to be there for you alongside your healing journey.

Biography

A Carolina girl through and through, I was born in Charlotte NC, and then was raised up in Greenville, SC. I attended Samford University with a B.S. in Psychology and then moved out west to complete my master’s program at Colorado Christian University! Outside of the therapy room, I love anything creative, including drawing, painting, and exploring different forms of art. I also feel most restored when I am spending time in nature, especially near the mountains or water. If I’m near the ocean, there’s a good chance  you’ll find me attempting to learn how to surf!
